Oh my the days go by!

We are now in the middle of June. In less than a week and I'll be turning 22! Where did the time go? 31st of May I finished my first year of the degree I'm doing. What a joy to have some spare time again! It's just over two weeks ago, but I have had time to plan lots of sessions, and it's a blessing to be able to put more prayer and effort into it. I have had time to catch up with my young people, my parents have been around for a long weekend, we have had BBQ party, and I just spent a long weekend in Cornwall.

This academic year has been a challenge, but I have also learnt a lot from it. I have had ups and downs, but also seen how much God has changed my attitude towards grades. It's not about good grades, but what I learn in the process. But my youth ministry will always be more important as people are more important. However I always do my best and I still need to work on the expectations I have of myself and find time to rest. I have never regretted my choice of going to England and do this degree, however I have to say I sometimes miss the days in high school where I just had to memorise for a test. Nevertheless it is good to realise that I am not just a student/trainee I am actually a youth worker/minister. I might not have a salary, but I have a profession and God given purpose. I love my youth and it's definitely a privilege to be a part of their lives.

Here are some pictures from the last weeks:
