Januar 2013

Who would've thought that January is soon over. At the same time it feels like I've been back a lot longer. This month, after being ill for a few days, I woke up with snow outside my window. One thing is sure - that made me feel a lot better ;-) It's interesting to see how the English change when the snow comes out. No traffic and families come together, go sledging and play in "all" the snow. I have handed in 5 assignments and my first semester is completed!
Koselig velkomst hos Mark

Snow!

Holke! Hakke hørt om å strø her nei.
Icy! Doesn't seem like they know what to do about it...

Jeg fikk meg en aketur!
Out sledging :)

1000 ord essay "Utifra Lukas 4:16-20 hvordan tolket Lukas Jesu misjon"
1000 word essay "Looking at Luke 4:16-20 how did Luke frame his understanding of Jesus' mission"

The weather has completely changed! Today it was about 10 degrees and raining. The sun is a rare phenomenon that comes up in the early morning. The other day we had both sun, rain, hail and lightening in one day!

Highlights of 2012

It's weird looking one year back and realise how much that have changed in just 12 months! Last year at this time of the year I had celebrated Christmas for the first time in England. I had never heard about Yate and didn't know anyone there.  I hadn't even made the choice to continue in SWYM and do a degree! Now I'm half way of my first year, I have got to know loads of great youth and great families. I really love what I'm doing, and I'm really looking forward to see my young people again tomorrow and other people from church. Life is very exciting with God on the team :-)
