Dette er kun en liten del av livet mitt :-) Jeg lærer masse om meg selv, jeg har fantastiske venner, jeg jobber med flotte ungdommer som jeg blir bedre og bedre kjent med, jeg er mye opptatt og jeg er veldig velsignet :)

This is just a small part of my life :) I learn a lot about myself, I have amazing friends, I work with wonderful young people who I get to know better and better, I'm very busy and I'm very blessed :)

Matthew 18:14 "In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost"

Recently we have been talking to our young people about the love, forgiveness and hope we have in God. Yesterday I was reading in Matthew and I was reminded of that whatever happens in life God does not want to loose us. We are His precious children. There is nothing that can separate us from the love God has for us. However, there are things in life than can separate us from the love we have for him. When we do things wrong it is easy to go hiding from God, thinking that we are not good enough. And as sinful human beings we often mess up. We are not God - we are not perfect. But in times like that remember that God still loves you. He does not want to lose you. As children we sometimes need to be disciplined and convicted for the things we do wrong because we hurt ourselves or other people. A good Father does what is best for His child. It is good to be reminded of our short comings so we realise the need for God in our lives.

Can't count how many times I've been to domino's since I arrived. They have now decorated for Christmas/ Har ikke telling på hvor mange ganger jeg har vært og kjøpt pizza på domino's etter at jeg kom til Yate. Nam nam. Her har de fått opp juledekorasjonen.

I played with Joel and Kezia one evening this week and they made a pirate-fireman-chicken-sofa-flower-teddybear birthday cake

I tried to make meringues for the first time. Not too bad actually (the sugar made them look a bit burned)/Jeg har lagd pikekyss for første gang! Sukkeret gjorde dem enda brunere, men de ble ikke så værst.

Today's pudding! And I've realised why it is called "whipped" cream after I watched Clair making it with an ordinary whisk (and I did a bit as well)/Dagens dessert! Og jeg har plutselig innsett hvorfor det heter "pisket" krem etter å ha sett på Claire piske fløten med håndvisp.

Weekend in France!

From the ferry..

Caen

I went to France to Caen in France to "bless" with three other from my church from the 10-13th November. We took the ferry from portsmouth to Caen. Here we met up with the bless team and we prayed for the city from the city walls. Then we went to Bethanie, their 'head quarter'. The week was spent with Bible inputs, lots of praying for France, bless, Europe etc (and Norway :D), delicious food, walk and prayer outside, fun time in the apple barn, worship etc. For more information about bless go to www.blessnet.eu. We also went and saw the castle of William the Conqueror.

Kl 05.00 lørdag den 11 November dro jeg sammen med 3 andre fra menigheten til Portsmouth og tok ferja over til Caen i Frankrike. Her møtte vi "bless" teamet. Etter en kopp med te gikk vi opp på bymuren og bad for byen. Deretter dro vi til Bethanie, hovedkvarteret til bless. Dette er en gammel cider gård :) Helga ble tilbrakt med Bibel input, bønn for Frankrike, bless, Europe (inkl Norge!), arbeidet de gjør etc, utrolig god mat, tur i solskinnet og utendørs bønn, historier og musikk i 'eple stallen', lovsang etc. Vi tok oss også en tur og så slottet til William the Conqueror. It says Norway on the flag :D A couple of pics of William the conqueror. And a pic from inside a church. Either someone has tried to make some art of these chairs, or someone had a tantrum.. Or they wanted somewhere to place the camera for the service that was filmed there...

 

The French gave me this to fill in. Although UK didn't want it as Norway is in the EU. WRONG! It's in the EEA, although I didn't tell the lady that. After all of us had to show our passports to board the ferry in France, a lady stopped us and wanted to have a look at my passport and me. Then as we were driving some other security guys started running after the car wanting to see our passports AGAIN!

November Conference

5th - 8th November it was time for SWYM conference again! Absolutely love it! It's great being able to see and catch up with friends again, spend time with worship, have my quite time with God each morning, good teaching, bonfire etc. Love it :)

This conference we had some amazing about the Old Testament and how it links to the New Testament. Wow :) Great teaching about New Testament, Early Church and church history. Did my first debates and two first presentations as well.

And I got my ENGAGE certificates!!

5-8 november var det tid for SWYM conference igjen! Jeg digger conference. Tilbringe tid med Gud, lovsang, henge med venner jeg ikke har sett på lenge, bål, konkurranser. Ah, digger det :) Denne gangen lærte jeg utrolig spennende ting om det gamle testamentet og hvordan noe av det henger sammen med nye testamentet. WOW! Så mye man ikke ser ved første øyekast. Også lært spennende ting om Nye Testamentet, tidlig kirkehistorie og kirkehistorie opp igjennom tidene. Jeg har også hatt mine første to presentasjoer og første debatt :)

OG jeg har fått sertifikatene mine fra kurset jeg gjorde i fjor, så nå har jeg mitt første bevis på at jeg kan noe om ungdomsarbeid :)

Half term/Høst ferie

This is what my half-term consisted of.... 

Fra 29.Okt - 4 Nov var det høstferie her. Med andre ord ingen lunch klubber, eller andre ungdomshendelser. Dette bestod min 'høstferie' av:

Calls to the surgery and a blood test appointment after developing of rash. Allergic to antibiotics, glandular fever or just from a viral infection? Finally got my results: no glandular fever :)
Telefonsamtaler med legekontoret og time hos legen etter å fått utslett. Enten allergisk til antibiotika, kyssesyken eller  virus infeksjon. Endelig fått resultatet fra blodprøve: Null kyssesyke :)
